Songbird ocarina rgb7/26/2023 ![]() It's always the same: the anticipation of something is always greater than the actual object itself. I will admit, I've got it bad for 'new ocarinas'. jee, talk about being late on the bit for a review. It comes with a sheet of scale chart and a finger. In regards to Songbird's payment method, I would just do as Crowler said and personal message him here on The Ocarina Network, or contact him with the information he gave on his website. 1 Allow me to present, the Songbird Double Harmony Ocarina that I received for my birthday. This ocarina has exquisite breath response and crystal clear tone. ) It is true that there are other more expensive companies, like Maparam or Noble, but Focalink/ Songbird is the cheaper of these three and they have very good quality also. STL's plastic triple isn't NEARLY as good as their double. Both the Songbird and Zelda ceramic doubles are ok, but kinda meh. (Or if shipping would be cheaper for where you live, you could just order off Focalink's website. The STL plastic double for 40 is a good deal and if you can find one, go for it if you don't want to spend a lot of money. If you are sure, a Focalink 12 hole Alto C from Songbird would be fantastic. THe perfect range for a beginner is an Alto C, in my opinion.īOTTOM LINE- If you are not sure you will like playing the ocarina, go for a seedpod alto c from Songbird. Not to say that no one should ever get a soprano c, but I wouldn't suggest it for a beginner. I wouldn't suggest getting a Soprano C ocarina, though, because it will be very high pitched and it might be discouraging because it's so loud and shrill and hurts your ears while you try to learn. It came with a fingering chart and a few songs to play. The sound quality is fantastic, and it is tuned very accurately. ![]() I wasn't sure I wanted to get into ocarina playing that much, so I just chose the seedpod because of its price and the fact that it has almost the same range as a 12 hole. It was relatively cheap, and the shipping was super fast (but I do live in the U.S.). My first ocarina was the Alto C Seedpod from Songbird, and I mut say it was the perfect first ocarina for me.
